Nike Air Max Uptempo 97

Nike Air Max Uptempo 97 (*originally Nike Air Max Uptempo III) basketball shoe originally releases 1996 for 96-97 season.

Air Max Uptempo 97 is remembered for most exposed full length Max Air cushion to date and oversized midsole including metallic jewels.  Retailing at $150, it is Nike's most expensive shoe for most of the 96-97 season.  To put this in perspective, that is $10-15 more than original Air Jordan 12 colorways.

Scottie Pippen wears Air More Tempo for 1996 NBA Playoffs and Atlanta Olympics, continues with Uptempo line and Air Max Uptempo 3 for the following season.  It is Pippen's final unnamed signature as his Air Pippen series debuts during '97 postseason.

First Air Max Uptempo 97 retros release 2010 including two of the original colorways.
