KangaROOS exists because its founder Bob Gamm hated pockets on his running clothes.

Gamm was a serious jogging enthusiast who turned his eye for design as an architect into an innovative sneaker zipper pouch.  The brand peaked in the 1980s with millions of pairs sold annually and a roster of athletes including Walter Payton, William 'Refrigerator' Perry and Ozzie Smith.

KangaROOS returned in the late '90s and has retained a niche presence in the market since, with a series of collaborations in the 2010s attracting attention from a new generation of sneakerheads.
